Noise At Work
The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 make it necessary for employers to eliminate or control exposure to noise in the workplace to a level as low as reasonably practicable. It also defines a lower exposure action value, at which employers must make personal hearing protectors available on request; an upper exposure action value, at which employers must provide personal hearing protectors; and an exposure limit value, at which noise levels must be reduced to below this limit.
We can visit the place of work in question, undertaking a serious of measurements to determine employees’ daily or weekly personal noise exposure, report whether or not and if the action values or limits are exceeded with the associated implications, and provide guidance on the control of exposure to noise in the workplace.
